We now have established the two main exercises to lose weight. Let’s talk a bit more in-depth about aerobic exercise.

Aerobic exercise causes weight lose by helping your body burn calories fast, so if your calorie intake is less than the calories that you are burning with your aerobic exercise, you will lose weight.

Knowing that a half hour of exercise means that I can have that slice of chocolate cake rather than dreaming about it.

Now I do not know about you but that gets me motivated to start exercising today.

The added benefits to using aerobic exercise to lose weight are;

You will feel energized and full of life. Psychologically this will help you to face problems with a more positive attitude. These problems will be easier to solve with this new energy.

You stress levels will be a lot lower.

Aerobic exercise will increase your cardiac and lung function. This means that more oxygen will be absorbed into your system and toxins will be released quicker.

Your blood pressure will improve and your resting heart rate will be lower. These effects will help reduce your likely hood of having a stroke.

Where can you do your aerobic exercise to lose weight?

The answer to this is anywhere.

You can run around the garden playing with your children or dogs.

You can put on your favorite music and dance to it in your living room.

If you have some spare cash you can buy some exercise equipment for home. Such as a treadmill, steps or skipping rope.

Now days you can even buy game console exercise programs that give you a real good workout and are great fun.

Try brisk walking to places rather than taking the car.

If you find walking or running along the road boring, drive yourself to a park and enjoy the scenery while running. This is a great time to solve problems or plan things.

You can join a gym. The benefits of a gym are that there are usually trainers who will help you develop an exercise program that is made for you.

How long should you exercise to lose weight?

The recommended time is 3 to 5 days a week for between 30 and 60minutes. This does not include your warming up time or cooling down session.

Do not skip your warm up and cooling down session as this will loosen your muscles and prevent injury.

Start slow, build up as your body gets use to exercising and above all enjoy.

Exercising to lose weight is the beginning of a lifestyle change.
